COVID-19
May 16, 2020
Dear Patient,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
We want to make sure that you feel comfortable when you come in to our office and reassure you that when you come, you will be in a safe, sterile, and controlled environment. Our office is staying up-to-date on any new rulings and guidances following the infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and OSHA.
Although the level of Coronavirus in our area is minimal, we want you to know that we are holding your safety at the utmost importance. You may see some changes at your next appointment. We have made these changes to help protect everyone. For example:
- Our office will ask you several screening questions about COVID-19.
- We will ask that you call the office when you arrive for your appointment, and we will come get you.
- We have masks and gloves and/or hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office.
- You may see that we will no longer offer magazines, pillows, blankets, etc. since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. You should bring your own if you need something for your neck or back.
- Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
- You may notice that our team members may be wearing facial shields, face masks, gowns, and/or other PPE’s to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
- We will be limiting talking during your appointment. Please understand that we are not trying to be rude. We are limiting face-to-face talking, as recommended by multiple health and safety organizations.
- All common areas (restrooms, counter tops, etc.) will be fully cleaned before and after every use.
- As always, all treatment rooms will be fully sterilized before and after each and every patient.
- Please refer to https://www.eldoradoperio.com/patient-information/pre-appointment-checklist/ for a checklist of things to bring and what to expect on your visit
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about COVID-19 and dental work. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming everyone back. We are starting to schedule patients and look forward to calling you within the next two to four weeks to reschedule your appointments. If you are having any emergencies or urgent concerns please call us right away.
Sincerely,
Caton J. State, D.D.S., M.S., P.C.
